Shauna Archer

Shauna and her husband Tim have been with Living Hope since 2016. Shauna gets to hang out with a wonderful bunch of kids as she oversees all programs for birth to Grade 6. Her team includes over 70 dedicated workers who serve on a weekly or monthly basis to create environments where kids can encounter God and the truth of His word in meaningful ways. Shauna’s passion is to not only help kids connect more deeply to Christ but to also partner with parents as they raise godly kids by providing resources and encouragement to families on their faith journey.

Curtis Dyck
youth & young adults pastor

Curtis and his wife Lily started attending Living Hope in August 2021. Curtis joined our staff shortly after in December of 2021. Curtis grew up in Swift Current but has also lived in Alberta and Ontario for school and work. Curtis has a deep passion to provide opportunities for the younger generations to develop an intimate relationship with God. Curtis also has a wide variety of hobbies and interests ranging from writing a novel, to learning about technology, to starting his own business this past year. He is always down for a coffee to chat about the Youth & Young Adults Ministries, life, or anything else!

Rowena Arendt
worship and creative arts pastor

Rowena has been married to her wonderful husband Daryl for 30 years and their daughter Shaya is now grown and flown and “adulting” like a star in Saskatoon. They have been a part of the Living Hope Family since 2010. Rowena loves Jesus, loves to sing and is passionate about leading others in worshiping God for all He has done, all He is doing and all He will do. She also loves being on a team with the many gifted people God uses in Worship and Creative Arts at Living Hope. In her spare time, Rowena enjoys reading, going for walks through her neighbourhood and watching British TV shows.

Karen Gatschene
children's ministry director

Karen has attended Living Hope for over 23 years, and has volunteered with the children’s ministry in some capacity for 20 years. It is her desire to see kids come together in an atmosphere that is fun and engaging, where they will feel safe to be themselves, to be seen, heard and loved unconditionally.

Karen married Kevin in 1999. Together they have an adult daughter and a teen age son.

Kevin Sykes​
director of operations

Kevin joined our team in 2019. Kevin oversees our finances and office. He and his wife have two wonderful children. When not working, Kevin enjoys watching movies and NASCAR and F1 racing. During the summer months his family escapes the city and spends time at the lake.

Marg Dowkes
admin assistant

Marg joined the Living Hope team in 2013. She assists Pastor Al with administration. Marg enjoys connecting with the Living Hope family when they call or come in. She especially delights in meeting the pre-school children as they pass her door.  

E Kish
technical director​

Our technical director  joined the Living Hope team in July 2021.  He oversees the tech and production teams including sound, lighting, cameras, video switching and media.  He maintains our production equipment and trains our tech volunteers.

Nicky Goudy
preschool director

Nicky started with Living Hope Preschool in 2019.  She has worked with children for the past 20 years holding various job positions. Her recently held position was a ‘Pastor of Family and Children’s Ministries’ at Celebration Church in Regina.  Nicky and her husband reside in Regina with their three children. Nicky is passionate about what she does and loves making learning fun and exciting!

Lori Maceluch
educational assistant

Lori joined the preschool team in 2020.  She has been volunteering with children in both the public school system and the church for over twenty years.  She enjoys the enthusiasm and energy they bring to her every day.  In her spare time you can usually find her doing some kind of craft or walking her little yorkie.  She has been married for 34 years and has two children and two granddaughters.

Brian Rennie
custodian

Brian joined our team as lead custodian in 2019. He previously worked 29 years with the Regina Public School Board in the Maintenance department. We are thrilled to have him maintaining our facility!  He oversees our caretakers and ensures that our facility is clean and safe. He is married with 2 pups. He enjoys reading and working on his model train layout when he has time.
