Youth Ministry is for students in grades 7 to 12. Each week we have great events where you can make friends, hang out, have fun and learn about what it means to have relationship with God. For the latest on what is going on in Student Ministry check out our Facebook page.
Here is what happens each week at Living Hope for students in grades 7 to 12.
Our week starts out with Bible Quizzing on Monday nights at 7 pm. Bible Quizzing is a scripture memory and competition opportunity students. The Quiz year officially runs from September 1 through to the first weekend in May. Quizzing provides an exciting, demanding, and loving framework through which teenagers get to memorize scripture. The competition encourages a learning process that teaches both quizzers and coaches the value of sportsmanship, fellowship and teamwork. Each year a portion of New Testament scripture, a book or books, are designated as the “material” from which the year’s competition will be conducted.
Join us every Friday from 7 to 9 pm (September to June) for a night of games, small groups and hanging out. A typical Friday night starts out with some group games, such as Grog, Sticks and Stones, Shuffle Your Buns or some other weirdly fun game. Then we meet in the UpperRoom (our youth room) to listen to an engaging speaker talk about how to live God’s way. Afterwards we break up into small groups to talk about what we’ve heard and pray together.
