Pray First
Prayer ignites power in the Church, for it opens us up to the work of Holy Spirit in earthly places. Therefore, we pray before our services to invite God to do a mighty work amongst us. At this time called ‘Pray First’, we contend for Holy Spirit’s work by praying for every ministry area used on Sunday. Join us at Pray First every Sunday from 9:30-10am. There will be no Pray First on Sunday, Dec. 28.

Keeping You in the Loop
Here’s some helpful info about the upcoming Christmas holidays:

  • Pray First and Hope Kids Elementary will not meet on Sunday, Dec. 28.  Children in that age range are invited to join their families in the main service. The nursery and preschool will remain open as usual.
  • Year-end giving: The last day to give tithes and offerings in-person is Sunday, Dec. 28; however, you can give online until Wednesday, Dec. 31 @ 11:59pm.
  • The church office will be closed at noon on Dec. 24th and will re-open on Jan. 5th. Thanks for your understanding!

Christmas Eve // Dec. 24
Our two Christmas Eve services will be held at 3:30 & 6pm with family fun happening after the first service. As we anticipate large numbers, we’d love for you to volunteer at one service and enjoy the other with your family. See front page of website for details.

Crossover Service // Dec. 31
What if the best way to step into 2026 is to pause first? Join us on New Year’s Eve at 10:30pm as we say goodbye to 2025 and look ahead to what God has in store.

Building on Purpose // Jan. 11, 18 & 25
What if there’s a place for you, even while you’re still searching? If you’re curious or simply wondering if there’s more, join us for this New Year’s series on Jan. 11, 18 & 25 at 10:30am as we lean in and learn together.

Ladies Bible Study // Jan. 14
Ladies, a wonderful way to connect with others and to grow in faith is to attend the Ladies Bible Study on Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11:30am. Starting the new year with a potluck brunch on Jan. 14, 2026. This 10-week study will be about God of Covenant (Jen Wilkin) from Genesis 12-50. For more info, visit mylivinghope.ca/events.

Warm & Well Coffeehouse // Jan. 31
Ladies, save the evening of Saturday, Jan 31, for our Warm & Well Coffeehouse. Enjoy hot drinks and tasty treats while catching up with others and listening to guest speaker Dr. Christine Lett. Watch for registration details coming soon!

Alpha 2026 // Feb. 23 to Apr. 20
Alpha is a course that welcomes people curious about faith to ask questions in a relaxed, engaging environment. A program like Alpha is incredibly life changing for those who attend but it takes a lot of people to make it happen! Be a part of Team Alpha on Monday nights, Feb. 23-Apr. 20 and all-day Saturday, Apr. 18, by finding your space online at www.mylivinghope.ca/events. Or invite a friend who would benefit from learning in a welcoming, non-judgmental space! The registration page for participants will go live in January. Watch for that and reach out now to your friend so they can save the dates!

Thank You
Thank you to everyone who generously supported our Christmas initiatives for the sake of others in our local community. Whether it was the used-clothing give-away, gift bags for children at Arcola Community School, the weekly sandwiches made to address food insecurity, or the many quiet acts of service that happen behind the scenes — thank you. Your kindnesses have made the love of Jesus visible in practical, meaningful ways.
