Acts 24

Written by Kevin Gatschene

Today we are looking at acts 24.

Once again Paul finds himself in court on trumped up charges. Accused of starting riots and defiling the temple.
The governor at the time was a man named Felix. Now Felix had been governor for 6 years so he would have been familiar with the christians and he would have known that they led peaceful lifestyles.

Unwilling to decide on the case Felix remands Paul to jail with a few freedoms.

For the next 2 years Paul met regularly with Felix, telling him about faith in Jesus Christ, trying to secure his release.
2 years is a long time especially when you don’t see any results. Paul was getting nowhere but still he persisted.

Perseverance is honouring to God. Rev 3:10 says “because you have obeyed my command to persevere, I will protect you from the great time of testing that will come upon the whole world to test those who belong to the world.

Is there something or someone you have been praying for or witnessing to for a long time and have had no results?
Ask God today to give you the perseverance that you will need to see it through to the end.
