Everything comes to an end?

Everything comes to an end. Your favourite book. Your favourite TV show (even if Netflix saves it for one more season). Your favourite meal. Summer vacation. Time with friends. Everything comes to an end…or does it?

This Sunday we are going to explore the final chapter of Elisha’s story. In 2 Kings 13:14-21 we get a glimpse of something we don’t often see in the Bible, how one of the God’s faithful finishes their time on earth. How Elisha finishes his story is important because it helps us to understand how to become who Jesus envisions in our story. As we look at the final chapter of Elisha’s story, we are going to discover that everything comes to an end except the faithfulness of God; we can experience his faithfulness without end if we will persist. I hope you will join us this Sunday as we look at the last chapter of Elisha’s life and what happened after he died!

This Sunday we will be starting Kids Church again. Our Kids Ministries will be following the same COVID19 protocol as our public school system. This means that all elementary age children will be required to wear masks and our Kids Church leaders will be masked as well.  For children under the age of 5, masks are optional but recommended; our Kids Church leaders for this age group will be wearing masks.  For youth and adult ministry gatherings, masks will be optional but recommended.

Beginning next Sunday, September 12, we will be offering an alternate Sunday worship gathering where masks will be required. This second gathering will begin at 8:30 am and all attendees and volunteers (including the worship team) will be required to wear masks.  Masks will continue to be optional but recommended for our 10:30 am gathering.  Kids Church and Nursery will be available for the 10:30 am service only.

PrayFirst will also be starting next Sunday, September 12, at 9:40 am (10 minutes after the first service).  Masks will be optional but recommended for PrayFirstfor this gathering.

We hope that these gatherings and protocols help you find a space to gather safely and worship with your church family.

See you Sunday,

Pastor Kirk
