Discussion:

1. Re-read Micah 1:1-16, before you read, Pray and ask Holy Spirit to speak to the group before you read Micah 1:1-16. What stood out to you? What passage is the Holy Spirit drawing to your attention? There is a lot of judgment happening in this passage. How do you feel about God’s judgment?
2. Is judgment just? Why or why not?
3. Pastor Tim talked about the idolatry of the Israelites and used Steve Cuss to talk about the idols we have today. He mentioned control (perfection), always having the answer, being there for others (must be there for others, the need to be needed), and approval. Which one(s) do you struggle with the most? What makes these challenging for you? How might God be growing you in your area of weakness?

Prayer:

1. Take extra time today to pray for one another. Get into groups of 2-3. Share prayer requests, personal needs, and the idols in your life. As each person shares, pray for God’s work in their life. Give ample time for this.

Practice:

1. Invite everyone to read through Micah along with the message series. This next week, read the chapter that was preached on (Micah 1:1-16). Each day, read these verses and let them sit in your heart. Allow Holy Spirit to percolate the truth into your life.
