  1. If you could welcome any famous person into your city with a parade, who would it be and why?

Discuss:

  1. Read Matthew 20:29–34 and 21:1–13. What contrasts do you see between the two blind men and the crowd in how they understand and respond to who Jesus is?
  2. In your own life, do you relate more to the blind men (clear, dependent faith) or the crowd (enthusiastic but conditional faith)? Why?
  3. What specific actions does Jesus take during His entry into Jerusalem and in the temple, and what do those actions reveal about the kind of King He is?
  4. What is one area of your life where you are tempted to treat Jesus as a helper, advisor, or consultant rather than as King?
  5. Consider the statement, “You can say all the right things about Jesus but still follow Him for the wrong reasons.” What motivations might be shaping your relationship with Jesus right now?
  6. If Jesus is truly sitting on the throne of your life this week, what relationship or space can you bring His Kingdom into this week understanding that faithful believers don’t just surrender, they also join the mission? If He isn’t fully on the throne of your life, what one specific thing you could start doing or stop doing this week that would make room for him?

Pray:

  1. Based on the answers to question 6, pray for one another, for full surrender, for heart postures willing to let go so Jesus can be King.
