Connect:
- Open in prayer.
- What is one of your favourite items in your house and why? After many have answered this question, follow up with asking how you would define the purpose of that item.
Discussion:
- Have you ever talked with someone about Jesus who isn’t a Christian? Share the story and how you felt when you shared? What went well in the conversation? What would you do differently? If you have never shared with someone, what is one barrier you face in sharing?
- Ask Holy Spirit to speak to each person and then read 2 Cor 5:14-21. What verse, idea, or word, did Holy Spirit bring to your attention?What does this verse, idea, or word mean? How does this verse, idea, or word apply to your life?
- Reconciliation is one metaphor scripture uses to describe what Jesus did for us on the cross. How would you explain reconciliation to someone? (Hint: Broken relationships restored). If we are called to be ambassadors of reconciliation, as 2 Cor 5 states, how does that look in your life? Give one area you feel you are already doing it. Give one area you feel you could grow in.
- Pastor Tim talked about presence-based witness, referencing John 1:14, where Jesus takes on flesh and dwells among us. How does this influence how we live in on mission?
- On their own: Give people 3 or 4 minutes to write down everyone they are in regular contact with (at least monthly) who does not know Jesus. Once you have written your list, take a moment to pray over the list. Are there a few names Holy Spirit is drawing your attention to? Would you commit to praying for these 2-4 people that Holy Spirit has drawn to your attention?
- In what ways would you like to grow in being mission-focused?

- Pray over the people on each person’s list. Pray that God would give opportunity to have meaningful, deep, and Jesus conversations.
