What do you have in your life that is unstoppable?

What comes to mind when you hear the word “unstoppable”? The first thing that comes to my mind is an old movie (remade with Denzel Washington) about a train that was out of control and unstoppable. What comes to mind are some kids I know who seem to have more energy in a single day than I’ve had in a lifetime. What comes to mind when I hear the word “unstoppable” is our little Pug, Lily, who pulls me towards the park whenever we go on a walk (Lily walks fine once we get to the park, but until we do, she’s like an unstoppable team of huskies pulling me along). What comes to mind are the faces of people I love who live their lives with an undaunted and unstoppable spirit. Who or what comes to mind when you hear the word “unstoppable”?

Do you have anyone or anything in your life that is unstoppable? Are you unstoppable?

This week we are starting a new teaching series from the Gospel of Luke called “Unstoppable.” Over the next five weeks, we will look at what the author of Luke and Acts has to say about the unstoppable nature of Jesus, his Gospel, and his church. This week as we kick off our series, we will look at Luke 8:22-25, the story of an unstoppable Jesus who challenged his followers to have an unstoppable faith. I hope you’ll join us this Sunday as we discover together how to become who Jesus envisions, people with unstoppable faith!

See you Sunday,

Pastor Kirk

Ps…be sure to mark the Sunday, December 5th worship gathering on your calendar and plan to join us. During our 10:30 am service on December 5, we will celebrate Pastor Daniel’s approval for ordination and say goodbye to Chandra, Colin, and Daniel by commissioning them for the next step in their journey of becoming who Jesus envisions. (Please note: There will be no 8:30 am service on December 5)
