The Board of Elders met on April 25, 2023 for our regular monthly meeting.
As we approach our fiscal year-end (June 30, 2023), there are many things to consider, Finances being one. The letter you received from our Treasurer informs you of our position and challenges us to end our year in a strong financial position. Our Compassion Fund continues to bless others because of your generous giving.
We are pleased to see an increase in our membership. We will soon be meeting with 3 new applicants, and look forward to more applications.
We are very pleased with the progress we are making in this season of transition as we search for a Lead Pastor for our church. Transition takes time and patience. Please be in prayer for our Search Team as well as for the candidates for the position. God is in control and we trust His leadership and timing in the process.
The Nominations Committee is also continuing the discerning process to know whom God would have as members of our Board of Elders and Nominating Committee, as well as tellers for the next church calendar year.
Please continue to engage in the opportunities for learning and for service at Living Hope. The weekly bulletin includes the list of special events for May. As we are blessed by Jesus, we in turn should bless others who are in our circle of influence.
Canadian Midwest District Conference will be in Brandon at McDiarmid Drive Alliance Church June 5-7. Pastors Al Fedorak and Shauna Archer will be attending; Jan Ross will attend as a voting lay delegate for Living Hope.
Please continue to pray for your Board of Elders and Staff, as well as all the ministry volunteers. We praise God that during this transition we have been able to implement most of the ministry plans that we had set for this year. In addition, we are observing that our momentum continues to grow.
