The Board of Elders met on June 27, 2023 for our regular monthly meeting.
Our meeting began with a devotional on the promise of Psalm 27:14.
January to June 2023 have been months of change and transition. We are excited to see that the ministries of Living Hope have achieved and even exceeded the goals we set at the beginning of this season.
We have been blessed with your continued generous giving that will allow us to end with a strong financial position at our fiscal year-end (June 30, 2023). The “bucket giving” explanations by pastoral staff have increased our understanding of what our needs are according to the budget. The Board has also discussed the meaning of tithe, offering and storehouse; this will give guidance to staff on future teaching. We want our budget to meet the ministry needs of our church, our community, and our global mission commitments.
We were reminded to be patient and wait on God as we continue to work through the Lead Pastor search process. The Board vetted the individuals recommended by the Pastoral Search Team. We are continuing the process with one potential candidate.
We covet your prayers for discernment and guidance for the Board of Elders, the Core Ministry Team, Staff and Ministry Volunteers. Prayer is vital to our church – we invite you to attend PrayFirst at 9:30 am on Sunday mornings during the summer months.
