Have you ever received an invitation and a challenge?

In 2016 I received an invitation. It was from a man named Mike, and it was to become a part of a group of four leaders who would meet with him monthly to learn how to grow as a leader. I had met Mike a year earlier at a conference that we hosted at Living Hope. For years, I had been reading the books Mike had written about his understanding and experience helping his church to engage fully in the mission of God. To say I was excited was an understatement. The next year was marked by growth in my character and ability as I learned how Mike lived and led. After the year was over, Mike issued a challenge, to go and do what he had done with us.

Did you know that Jesus extends a similar invitation and challenge to us?  In fact, the Jesus way of living is all about invitation and challenge. Inviting IN and challenging to GO.

This weekend we are continuing our “3D Living” teaching series; we will be exploring the second dimension of the Jesus way of living. In week one we looked Jesus’ relationship with his heavenly Father and how we need to live like Jesus did in our UP relationship. This week we are going to look at Jesus’ relationship with the people around him, what we refer to as his IN relationships. I hope you’ll join us this Sunday and discover the invitation and challenge that Jesus is extending to you and me. It’s an invitation and challenge to become an apprentice of C.I.A. (it’s not what you think).

See you Sunday,

Pastor Kirk
